The Parted Magic 2012.02.27 OS employs core programs of GParted and Parted to handle partitioning tasks with ease, while featuring other useful software (e.g. Partimage, TestDisk, Truecrypt, Clonezilla, G4L, SuperGrubDisk, ddrescue, etc…) and an excellent set of info to benefit the user. An extensive collection of file system tools are also included, as Parted Magic 2012.02.27 supports the following: btrfs, ext2, ext3, ext4, fat16, fat32, hfs, hfs+, jfs, linux-swap, ntfs, reiserfs, reiser4, and xfs.
Parted Magic 2012.02.27 is a GNU / Linux LiveCD type to create, delete, resize, move or copy Windows partitions (fat16, fat32 or NTFS) or GNU / Linux (ext2, ext3, reiserfs, etc) using the program VisParted and also includes other disk utilities.
To use the Internet once downloaded, unzip the zip file to a folder. Iso file is an image obtained from a CD. To be usable, this image must be restored to a CD using a CD burning program. To use Parted Magic, the computer should boot from the CD itself.
